Educational Apps For Children: Available on Tablets And Smart Phones

From my little psychology, especially child psychology class, I have learned that children respond better to positive reinforcement and rewards, as opposed to punishment. I am no expert but from what I’ve practiced with the girls I watch, positive reinforcement, like “If you do this, we can go to the park,” instead of “if you don’t come here, we aren’t going to the park,” they listen better. It’s about giving them something, rather than taking anything away. Usually, I use candy or playing with a doll. However, there is more to offer children. A great reward is giving them a game that is actually an Educational Apps for Kids. Technology has made it possible to advance children’s basic elementary skills.

When your child is getting cranky, calm them down with the option to go on adventures with educational apps for kids. It’s education on the go. Often vehicles come with TV screens embedded into the back of the front seats. This is another attempt to keep kids content for long car rides. There may come a time where the TV and videos aren’t enough. With education on the go, you can simply hand them your smart phone or tablet to play with educational game apps. The enhanced colors make these educational games feel real. They help your child learn math, money, and the transformation of a butterfly. Looking back on elementary school, we learn so much that seems trivial at this point. The fact remains that children love colors and hands-on activities. With touch screens everywhere now, they are developing hand-eye coordination earlier than my generation ever could.

I was around for the explosion of computers, where every household had at least one desktop. I can remember playing computer games for hours, like The Sims or solitaire, various games. Today’s children have easy access to their parents’ phones to develop the basic adding and subtracting skills or colors and shapes. Educational apps are great for any young child. I am working with a 2-year old who has already learned her colors, now we are working on shapes. Children love to be rewarded. These learning applications will reward your children for you, while they are learning and moving up in levels on the particular game. For the sake of parents, it can help keep them entertained as well. If you don’t already, create a positive atmosphere for your children. This is an atmosphere of rewarding them for being so smart and creative, or for cleaning their room.
